Some licenses just don't transfer to LEGO that well (like SpongeBob). I'm a little bit puzzled that of all the other licenses out there, they'd go after The Simpsons. I'm not a Simpsons fan but your excellent review has really tempted me to buy it.

I'm just not sure I can justify spending £180 on it having only recently forked out for the Parisian Restaurant... It's not my sort of thing, but I've certainly enjoyed hearing your thoughts and watching the build progress. Maybe LEGO will do a free polybag with a fridge when you buy a Simpsons set? Definably like this set, but no room in my collection for a big house like this. There's not much to say about the build of the 'house' parts because it's very straightforward.

Great review and makes me want to get the set even more, about to move though so not a great time.Whilst I'm sure it'll turn Simpsons fans to Lego, I'd hope it'd drive some Lego fans to The Simpsons. Huw, it really is an excellent show, I'd thorougly recommend watching some of the earlier series. If you are a Simpsons fan, this set is an obvious winner. I am very happy with it, even given the cost, and am satisfied that justice has been done in the design of this iconic location. While there are certainly inaccuracies, they are acceptable in my opinion to keep costs down. If you are seeking to construct an absolutely accurate model, a second set and a few extra pieces should suffice, and I look forward to seeing some MOCs which capture every element of 742 Evergreen Terrace.
